Devashilpi, that is, the first engineer in the world, was seen in the factories, workshops and technical institutes of the entire city on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma. One such very devotional and enthusiastic atmosphere was also seen at NTTF RD Tata Technical Institute at Golmuri, Jamshedpur.

This day was not just a holiday, but a lesson for future engineers and technicians studying in this institute. This lesson was to respect machines and tools that are the basis of their knowledge and skills.

There was a festive atmosphere in the institute since morning. Students and teachers together cleaned all the labs and workshop machines and equipment of the institute. Subsequently, the principal of the institute Preeta John, administrative officer Varun Kumar and all the instructors and students together offered prayers.

Sandalwood tilak was applied on every machine, flowers garlands were offered and then everyone together sang the aarti of Lord Vishwakarma. This scene was worth seeing, where everyone folded hands and expressed his gratitude to those inanimate machines, which are actually the ladder of their success.

On this occasion, the principal of the institute, Mrs. Preeta John explained the real meaning of Vishwakarma Puja to the students. He said, “This day reminds us that the tools and machines we work with are not only pieces of iron, but are the sources of our livelihood and our skills. When we respect them, keep them clean and safe, then this is actually true worship of Lord Vishwakarma.”

He also gave a message to the students that security comes first during work, and taking care of their equipment is also an important part of the same security.

After the puja, prasad was distributed among all the students and employees. The enthusiasm of the students was being seen, and the program became a beautiful example of the tradition of the institute.
