  • Park to be built on minimum 50 acres: Each park will be built on at least 50 acres of land. These will also have a place for supportive units like button, zipper, label and packaging.
  • Equipped with modern facilities: It will be mandatory to set up a common affluent treatment plant (CETP) in these parks so that the environment does not cause any damage.

UP is already a big textile player

Uttar Pradesh is already among the country’s largest textile and apparel exporting states. Cities like Varanasi, Mau, Bhadohi, Sitapur and Gorakhpur are famous for their traditional weaving, and now the establishment of these parks will give them new strength.

The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to speed up the identity and development work of the land so that investors can get all the facilities as soon as possible. Also, dialogue programs will be organized in every district to understand the needs of weavers.
