For the people facing the scorching heat in North and Central India, two big news are coming simultaneously from the Meteorological Department. On one hand, while the monsoon is progressing rapidly, on the other hand, the weather is going to be extremely harsh in many states of the country. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a very serious warning saying that within the next 48 hours a severe storm with a speed of 100 kilometers per hour may hit many states.

In view of the hail and torrential rains that rained like disaster from the sky, the Meteorological Department has issued red and orange alerts. However, this seasonal upheaval will cause a drastic drop in temperature by up to 8 degrees, which will provide great relief from the scorching heat. It is also a matter of relief that the South-West Monsoon is progressing rapidly and the conditions are completely favorable for its arrival in the Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep and Bay of Bengal in the next 2-3 days.

‘Maha-storm’ will be seen in Delhi-NCR and Haryana on May 29

There will be mild effect of heat wave on May 28 in Haryana including the country’s capital Delhi and surrounding areas (NCR). But the real change will be seen on May 29, when the weather can show its most dangerous form.

According to IMD, there is a strong possibility of a destructive thunderstorm with a speed of 80 to 100 km/hour in Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh on May 29. During this period, there will be dense dark clouds in the sky along with warnings of heavy rain and hailstorm. This dangerous situation will continue till May 30, due to which people have been advised to stay in their homes.

Warning of dust storm and hail in Uttar Pradesh

The next two days are also going to be difficult for the residents of Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dust storm and heat wave in many parts of the state on May 28.

But on May 29, the weather will completely deteriorate. A dangerous storm with a speed of 80 to 100 km/hour is expected in Western Uttar Pradesh and 60 to 80 km/hour in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Large hailstorms may occur at many places in UP on May 28 and 29, while an alert of torrential rain has been issued in the districts of western UP on May 29.

Pre-monsoon activities intensified in Bihar and Jharkhand

The pre-monsoon system has become very active and violent in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in most parts of Bihar on May 28 and 29. There is a possibility of storm blowing at the speed of 60 to 80 km/hour during both these days, which can cause huge damage to kutcha houses, tin sheds and trees.

In the neighboring state of Jharkhand too, this period of storm and rain is not going to stop from 28th May to 1st June. There has been a warning of strong winds at a speed of 50 to 70 km/hour during May 28 to 30.

Disaster rains in Bengal and hilly states also

There is an alert of severe storm and heavy rain at a speed of 60 to 80 km/hour in West Bengal on May 28, while on May 29 also winds will blow at a speed of 50-70 km/hour. There will be heavy rains at different places in Sikkim and Bengal areas adjacent to the Himalayas in the next two days.

Talking about the mountains, a storm with a speed of 50 to 70 km/hour may occur in Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand on 28 and 29 May. There is a special alert of heavy rain in Uttarakhand on May 29, while Himachal Pradesh will have bad weather between May 28 and 30.

Hail will fall after heat wave in MP and Chhattisgarh

There is going to be a big change in the weather of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also. While there will be severe heat wave in East Madhya Pradesh on 28th May, the tide will turn in entire Madhya Pradesh on 29th and 30th May. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and hailstorm at the speed of 50-70 km/hour in the state.

In Chhattisgarh too, after the heat wave on May 28, there is a strong possibility of hailstorm on May 29 and rain with strong thunderstorms during May 29 to 31.

There will be a huge drop in temperature up to 8 degrees

The biggest benefit of this fierce storm will be that people from Delhi-NCR to Uttar Pradesh will get great relief from the scorching heat and humidity. Between May 28 and 30, there will be a huge drop of 6 to 8 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature in these states. However, this relief will be temporary and from May 31 the mercury may again rise by 4 to 6 degrees. On the other hand, in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand, there will be a drop of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in temperature between May 28 and June 2.
