According to preliminary information, this question paper of Maharashtra TET has been leaked from Bhiwandi area of Thane district. About 1.82 lakh (1,82,000) candidates from across the state were going to appear in this prestigious examination. But just a day before the examination, on June 27, after the confidentiality of the question paper was breached and the possibility of large-scale irregularities emerged, the Maharashtra State Examination Council has taken a big and tough decision to postpone the examination with immediate effect.
Strict security arrangements were made on the lines of NEET, yet paper leaked in Bhiwandi
According to the official release issued by the Maharashtra State Examination Council, this time the state government had made unprecedented security arrangements in view of the major irregularities and rigging that came to light in the recent NEET examination at the national level. Strict rules were implemented to make the examination completely transparent and fair.
Despite this, on the morning of June 27, the Examination Council received a highly sensitive and confidential information from the intelligence agencies. In this input, it was told that some suspicious people in Bhiwandi area of Thane have very secret information and sets of questions related to the original question paper of TET exam. This information immediately created panic in the entire administrative staff and education department.
In police investigation, questions matched with the original question paper, FIR registered in Bhiwandi police station.
As soon as the intelligence was received, the Maharashtra State Examination Council, with the help of the special team of Bhiwandi Police, immediately started raids and raids at the suspected places. During the investigation, the police detained some accused and recovered some questions from them in handwritten and digital format.
Big revelation of investigation: When these questions recovered by the police were matched with the original question papers kept in the locker of the Examination Council, many important questions of both were matched exactly.
Immediately after this, a case (FIR) was registered at Bhiwandi police station under relevant sections and the new strict anti-paper leak law. The Examination Council said in clear words that conducting the examination in such a serious situation would have played with the future of lakhs of honest students. The confidentiality of the question paper and fairness of the examination had been completely destroyed, that is why this examination to be held on June 28 has been postponed till further notice.
1028 centers were created across the state, new date will be released on the website
According to the official data of Maharashtra State Examination Council, for the successful and peaceful conduct of this Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be held on June 28, a total of 1,028 exam centers were proposed. The administration claims that from security point of view, all the proper arrangements ranging from CCTV cameras to biometric verification were made at the centres, but the paper got leaked before reaching the centres.
Important information for candidates: The examination council has appealed to all the 1.82 lakh applicants of the state not to pay attention to any kind of rumours. The official announcement of the new date of conduct of TET exam, new admit card and all other necessary guidelines will be uploaded soon on the main website of the Council.
