Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya today held a review meeting with officials of various departments at Circuit House, Fatehpur regarding the progress of development works. In the meeting, roads, bridges, housing, water supply, electricity, health, education and other public welfare schemes were reviewed in detail.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya ji said that the priority of the state government is that the development works should be completed in a timely, quality and transparent manner, so that the general public can get the real benefits of the schemes. He directed the officers that any kind of negligence, laxity or unnecessary delay in development works will not be tolerated at all.
During the review, when expected progress was not made in some departments, the Deputy Chief Minister gave a stern warning to the concerned officials and said that if the works are not expedited and there is any compromise on quality, then strict action will be ensured. He clearly said that officers should fulfill their responsibilities as public servants and live up to the expectations of the public.
The Deputy Chief Minister instructed the officials that the pending projects should be completed soon on priority basis and inspections should be done regularly in the field. He said that the schemes of the Central and State Government are meant to improve the lives of the poor, farmers, laborers and common citizens and negligence in these at any level is not acceptable.
The Deputy Chief Minister seriously considered the issues raised by the public representatives in the meeting and gave instructions to the concerned officials for immediate solution. He said that along with development, law and order and solving public problems is also the supreme responsibility of the administration.
On this occasion, District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police and senior officers of various departments were present.
