War of promises between AAP and BJP

In view of the upcoming elections in Delhi, all political parties are preparing their strategies to woo women.

• Aam Aadmi Party (AAP): Under the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana, it has announced to send the first installment of ₹ 1,000 to the accounts of women soon.
• Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP): Preparing to bring an even bigger plan than this. There is talk that BJP may promise to give ₹2,500 per month to women and ₹1,000 during festivals in its manifesto.

AAP’s promise: The amount will increase if you come to power again.

AAP government has recently launched Mahila Samman Yojana:

• Eligible Women: Above 18 years of age.
• Monthly assistance: ₹1,000.
• Upcoming Promises:
  • If AAP comes to power again, this amount will be increased to ₹2,100.

BJP’s response:

• The manifesto committee is ensuring that the BJP’s promise is more attractive than AAP’s.

Free Plans: Water and Electricity Race

BJP has indicated that the free schemes will remain intact.

• Water:
  • Free water up to 20,000 liters every month.
• Electricity:
  • Free electricity up to 200 units.
  • 50% subsidy on consumption of 201-400 units.

BJP officials say that they will assure continuation of these benefits.

Delhi BJP has launched a campaign to seek suggestions from the public before preparing the manifesto:

• Key points of feedback:
  • Job security.
  • Pay revision.
  • Scholarship for students.
