Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya said that due to the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the continuous support of Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, effective implementation of rural development schemes is being done in Uttar Pradesh. Due to adequate financial assistance provided by the Central Government from time to time, development of rural infrastructure, employment generation, women empowerment, strengthening of self-help groups and rural economy are getting new strength. The total sanctioned amount of ₹3,210.76 crore has been divided among various items in a systematic and transparent manner. Of these, ₹1,783.76 crore has been approved as labor budget, which will be spent directly on payment of wages to rural workers. With this, lakhs of labor families of the state will receive their wages on time and economic activities in rural areas will get a new boost. Similarly, an amount of ₹ 1,189.17 crore has been approved for construction materials and other essential resources used in development works. With this budget, rural roads, water conservation, rejuvenation of ponds, creation of community assets, irrigation facilities and other basic development works can be completed with quality and speed. In order to further strengthen the effective operation, monitoring, management and administrative system of the schemes, an amount of ₹ 237.83 crore has been earmarked for administrative items. This will help in ensuring transparency, accountability and timeliness in the implementation of schemes. This large financial allocation will give new energy to the ongoing development schemes in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh. With the amount of wages reaching the accounts of eligible workers directly, the income of rural families will increase and the rural economy will also be strengthened by increasing purchasing power at the local level. The funds provided for material items will ensure construction of durable and quality assets, which will lead to comprehensive development of village infrastructure. The aim of the state government is to speed up development works in every district by ensuring completely transparent, effective and timely utilization of this sanctioned amount. Through this, employment opportunities in rural areas will increase, basic facilities will expand and Uttar Pradesh’s role in realizing the resolve of ‘Developed India’ will become stronger.
