Hero MotoCorp has launched its new entry-level electric scooter, VIDA VX2 in India. The scooter is available in two variants and has also been introduced with the Battery-Edge-e-Service (BAAS) subscription model.

There are two variants VX2 Plus and VX2 GO, and both are available with subscription plans. Talking about the standalone price, the price of VX2 Go is Rs 99,490, while the VX2 Plus is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh. Under the BAAS model, the VX2 GO is priced at Rs 59,490 and the VX2 Plus is priced at Rs 64,990 (ex-showroom). The BAAS plans are based on daily use and running patterns, and Vida claims a running cost of Rs 0.96 per kilometer.

The Vida VX2 Plus has two removable battery packs with a capacity of 3.4kwh, which offers a 142 km IDC range once charged. At the same time, VX2 GO has a single battery pack of 2.2KWH which gives 92 km IDC range. Vida claims that the fast charger charges 0-80% in an hour from the fast charger, while it takes six hours to reach the same charging level from the bundled charger.

The features of Vida VX2 include cloud connectivity with remote immobilization. Other connectivity features include live ride data, turn-by-turn navigation and 4.3-inch TFT display (LCD unit on VX2 GO). The design of the scooter is modern and is available in seven color options. The VX2 GO variant has a 33.2-liter underseat storage, in which full-faes helmets can be kept.
