This time winter has arrived in Uttar Pradesh before time. Right now the month of November is going on and the cold has started showing its true colors, due to which people have started worrying about December and January. There are more than 13 districts including Kanpur, Etawah, Barabanki and Meerut, where the night temperature has gone below 10 degrees.

Kanpur is experiencing the worst cold

If anywhere in the entire state the effect of cold is maximum, then it is Kanpur. The nights have become so cold here that the mercury has dropped much below normal. On Tuesday morning too, a light blanket of fog was seen, which further increased the cold of the morning. However, people are definitely getting some relief due to sunlight coming out during the day.

If we look at the data, the minimum temperature in Kanpur has been recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, which is about 5 degrees less than normal. The Meteorological Department says that the night temperature in the city can remain between 8 degrees to 27 degrees.

What is the condition of other districts of UP?

Kanpur is not alone in shivering with cold. The minimum temperature in Muzaffarnagar and Ayodhya also reached 8.5 degrees. Even in districts like Etawah, Meerut and Bulandshahr, the mercury remains around 9 degrees. This is a clear indication that cold has started engulfing the entire state.

Why is the cold increasing and what will happen next?

According to meteorologists, at this time cold winds are blowing from the north-west, due to which this drop in temperature is being seen. The sky remains clear during the day and there is mild sunshine, which brings relief during the day, but as the sun sets, the cold increases rapidly.

The worrying thing is that this is just the beginning. The Meteorological Department estimates that the cold will increase further in the coming days, which may increase the problems of the people. The temperature may drop further by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius, which means nights are going to get even colder.
