The mother has been identified as Surendra Paswan alias Nanda, against which the warrant was going on in an old case. Family members allege that Bakhira police station came to her house at around 2 pm on Saturday-Sunday and forcibly picked her up. The family claims that the police brutally assaulted Surendra, which worsened his condition. When he came to know in the morning, Surendra had died in the hospital. He is clearly alleged that he has lost his life due to the beating of the police and he has demanded action against the police officers. However, the police are denying these allegations. According to Bakhira Police Station, the police team went to catch the warranty Surendra Paswan at night. When the police was bringing her, she fell ill due to being drunk on the way and her health started deteriorating. He was immediately taken to the Community Health Center Khalilabad, where he died during treatment. Some officials also say that he had a tour or he was unconscious. The police is insisting that they were not seeing any injury on the warranty and died due to illness. As the news of the death of the Dalit youth spread, there was an atmosphere of tension in the area. A large number of family members and rural community health centers gathered and started protesting demanding justice. On receiving the information, Superintendent of Police (SSP) and other police officers including the jurisdiction reached the spot and tried to calm the family. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the Superintendent of Police has sent the dead body for postmortem and assured that a detailed investigation will be conducted. He also clarified that if the negligence of any policeman is revealed in the investigation, strict action will be taken against him. The Medical Officer (CMO) of the Communication Health Center Khalilabad has confirmed that the young man was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state and died during treatment.
