According to the information, the incident took place on a busy road located under Naubasta police station area of Kanpur. The student was close to her house when a man made her a target. It can be clearly seen in the CCTV footage that the accused youth stopped the girl on the way and committed the wrong act with her. He tried to touch the girl’s private limb, causing the student to get horrified. After this disgusting act, the girl immediately protested, pushed the boy and removed her life from the spot. The incident took place just a few steps away from the girl’s house and not far from the police post, Sesa Mau police outpost, which has raised serious questions on the security system in public places. The incident was revealed when the girl’s family searched the CCTV footage in the area. After seeing the footage, the ground slipped under the family’s feet and immediately reached Naubasta police station. The police have registered a case against the unknown accused on the basis of footage under Section 354 (tampering) of the Indian Penal Code and the Poxo Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses).
