The long -awaited Gorakhpur Link Expressway has started traffic rates, now the rates of toll tax have also been fixed. Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (EupIDA) has fixed a fee per kilometer for various categories of vehicles on this ambitious project. Although it is not yet clear when the toll collection will actually start, but the fees have been finalized.

The expressway is a total of 91.35 km long, which begins near Salempur in Gorakhpur and directly connects to Purvanchal Expressway in Azamgarh district. With the construction of this important route, traveling between Gorakhpur including Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar and Azamgarh has become very convenient and intense. This is also saving a lot of fuel of people with valuable time.

According to the toll rates announced by Eupida, light four wheelers, such as cars and jeeps, will have to pay a fee of Rs 2 per kilometer. This rate for light commercial vehicles such as pickup and small trucks will increase to 4 rupees 90 paise per kilometer. If you are traveling with a bus or two axle truck, you will have to pay the toll at the rate of 9 rupees 95 paise per kilometer. This fee has been fixed at 15 rupees 25 paise per kilometer for heavy construction machinery and three to six axle multiple vehicles,

Whereas very large vehicles with seven or more axles will have to pay the highest toll of Rs 195 paise per kilometer to travel on this route. This expressway will not only improve the connectivity of the region, but it will also prove to speed up overall economic and social development.
