Today, on the second day of his stay in his home district Kaushambi, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya participated as the chief guest in the ‘Workers’ Meet’ organized on the occasion of the holy festival of Holi. On this occasion, he not only encouraged the workers but also reiterated the government’s commitment towards development by benefiting the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes of the government. During the function, the Deputy Chief Minister distributed checks and citations of various schemes highlighting the priorities of the ‘double engine’ government of Uttar Pradesh. There is a group of 1.5 lakh Didis in Kaushambi which has to be increased to one crore.

Empowerment: Keys of e-rickshaw were handed over to women of self-help groups with the aim of making them self-reliant.

Equal Rights: Tri-cycles were provided to persons with disabilities to increase their mobility.

Health and Nutrition: Taking forward the resolve of ‘Suposhit Bharat’, nutritious food kits were distributed to pregnant women.

Sanskar and affection: Shri Maurya performed the Annaprashan Sanskar of small children with utmost intimacy and presented them gifts.

Addressing the workers, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the workers are the real strength of the organization. We do not look at Hindus or Muslims to provide benefits of government schemes. Everyone is given the benefits of the scheme equally. He said, today congratulations to the people of the state on Rang Panchami and also congratulations to all my mothers and sisters on Women’s Day. “This festival of Holi is a symbol of mutual harmony and victory. Our government is determined to bring development to the last person in the society. The e-rickshaws and equipment distributed today are not just government assistance, but steps towards self-reliance.”

In this grand function, regional president of BJP Kashi region Mr. Dilip Patel, BJP District President Mr. Dharamraj Maurya, along with honorable public representatives of the district, senior officials and a large number of intelligent people were present.
