Ganga Expressway Raebareli Update: Rae Bareli is fully ready to welcome Uttar Pradesh’s biggest road project ‘Ganga Expressway’. As soon as normal vehicles start operating on this expressway from April 29, 2026, the Transport Department will launch its fleet of special bus services for the convenience of passengers. The length of this expressway in Rae Bareli district is approximately 79 kilometers Which will completely change the connectivity of the area.

‘Mega’ preparation of Transport Department: Fleet of 90 buses deployed

The Transport Department has made elaborate arrangements to make the inauguration of the Ganga Expressway historic. According to Regional Manager Amarnath Sahay, a total of Rs. Special chart of 90 buses Has been prepared.

85 buses: It will be activated on Lucknow and Unnao routes a day before the inauguration programme.

05 Buses: Reserves have been kept to deal with any emergency or extra rush.

Traveling in hi-tech buses will be safe

All these roadways buses running on the expressway have been equipped with modern technology. In all 90 buses to ensure the safety of passengers VLTD (Vehicle Location Tracking Device) Has been activated. With this, the live location of buses and their speed can be monitored moment by moment from the control room of the transport department. Besides, deployment of trained drivers and conductors in every bus has been ensured.

Raebareli will get big benefit

The 79 km long stretch of Ganga Expressway is passing through Rae Bareli district. This will not only reduce the distance from Rae Bareli to Meerut and Prayagraj, but will also give new impetus to local trade and industry. With the introduction of these buses of the Transport Department, it will now become very easy and cheap for the general public, especially the working people and students, to reach the capital Lucknow and the neighboring district Unnao.

The picture will change from 29th April

As soon as the Prime Minister inaugurates this expressway on April 29, this route will be completely dedicated to the public. The transport department plans to take advantage of the expressway’s high speed (120 km/hr) to take passengers to their destinations in less time. The route map and timetable for the operation of buses is almost finalized.
