A very wonderful and big good news is coming for the international passengers traveling through the Indian Aviation Sector. India’s leading airline ‘Air India’ and Saudi Arabia’s new and very modern airline ‘Riyadh Air’ have joined hands. In a historic diplomatic and commercial move, the two major airlines have signed an initial agreement for a codeshare partnership and interline arrangement. The direct and biggest benefit of this mega deal is going to be given to millions of passengers traveling between India and Saudi Arabia, who will now be able to travel to remote cities of both the countries very easily without any hassle.
Travel on one booking and one ticket, passengers will get great relief
The main objective of this new strategic collaboration is to create a strong network so that passengers can enjoy seamless travel on the vast route network of both the airlines. After the full implementation of this agreement, passengers will be freed from the hassle of repeatedly booking for different flights. Now passengers will be able to travel on the connecting networks of both Air India and Riyadh Air through just one ticket or one single booking. However, both the airlines have clarified that necessary government and regulatory approvals are yet to be received before this historic agreement can be fully implemented, after which it will be implemented for passengers immediately.
Not only flight tickets, both the airlines will work together on these 4 big fronts also.
This agreement between Air India and Riyadh Air is not limited only to traveling passengers on a single ticket, but both the companies are also exploring possibilities of expanding partnership in many other big areas in the future. According to the agreement, both the airlines can link their mutual loyalty programs in the future, so that passengers can avail the benefits of points and rewards on both the flights. Apart from this, both the companies will also work together on sharing cargo services, operational support as well as digital and technology initiatives to boost trade activities between the two countries.
