More than 1000 vehicles are stuck in the traffic jam from Manali’s Solang Nala to Atal Tunnel. DSP Manali, SDM Manali and SHO Manali are on the spot along with the police team and are busy in smoothing the traffic. It is being told that the weather is very bad in many districts of Himachal. There is heavy snowfall and rain at this time. Snow has accumulated at many places. Snowfall is also occurring in Shimla and Manali. It seems as if a white sheet has been spread on the road. In such a situation, vehicles cannot move on the road. Snow is being removed from the road.

A large number of tourists are reaching Shimla-Manali among the tourists heading to the mountains for Christmas and New Year celebrations. At present only vehicles are visible in Manali. Due to heavy snowfall on Monday evening, more than 1000 vehicles got stuck from Solang Nala to Atal Tunnel.
700 vehicles were out of traffic
When the police and administration officials got information about this, immediately the DSP, SDM and station in-charge reached the spot along with the Manali police team. Even the officials were surprised to see the heavy traffic. At present the police team is busy in smoothening the traffic. So far 700 vehicles have been taken out.
