Dr. Ajay Tavare, head of forensic medicine and toxicology at Sasoon Hospital, and Dr. Srihari Halnor, chief medical officer of the emergency department, are accused of altering the blood samples.
Shrihari Halnor took a blood sample of the minor but later he realised that it might contain alcohol. He decided to change it. Not only this, to hide the crime, Dr. Ajay Tavare, who was on leave, intervened and another patient's blood sample was given for testing. According to the Pune Police Commissioner, the police have added another section against the accused in this case. Section 120B of IPL has also been imposed.
