Three important tasks and agenda were assigned to the secretaries
According to sources, all the secretaries attending this meeting were already given three main tasks, which are going to be the main agenda of today’s meeting. Under the first task, the secretaries have to tell what practical difficulties their departments are facing in achieving the target and how they can be overcome. In the second task, they have to give suggestions to work out of the box by going out of their traditional boundaries, while under the third task, every secretary has been asked to present innovative ideas and suggestions for the reforms of other departments besides his own department.
Groups have been formed under the leadership of veterans for different fields.
Among these groups, which are in charge of various sectors, the 11-member core group under the leadership of Economic Affairs Secretary Anuradha Thakur will give suggestions to the Prime Minister on important issues like stabilizing the country’s macro economy, import-export and manufacturing. Besides, the group led by Petroleum Secretary Neeraj Mittal will present its views on energy and LPG-LNG supplies, while the groups led by the Foreign Secretary and the Defense Secretary will present their strategic reports. The group led by Shipping Secretary Vijay Kumar is preparing a roadmap for the country’s logistics development. The main focus of the government is to reduce manufacturing costs by improving the supply chain and making ease of doing business more simple at the grassroots level.
