Due to this, clouds have started forming in the sky and the temperature has also dropped slightly. The Meteorological Department says that pre-monsoon activities have started, due to which there may be showers with thunder at some places, but the heat will remain intact.
Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology, said on Tuesday that a circulation over the interior of Tamil Nadu extends up to 5.8 above mean sea level. A cyclonic circulation is over northwest Uttar Pradesh.
A trough from this cyclonic circulation extends to Gangetic West Bengal through eastern Uttar Pradesh, south Bihar and Jharkhand. A trough is extending from central Maharashtra to Karnataka coast. Monsoon is gaining momentum and progressing in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, moist winds have started coming to Uttar Pradesh. Clouds are also being formed due to these moist winds and these clouds will also cause thunder at some places. Along with this, there is a possibility of dust storm along with showers. All these activities are of pre-monsoon but do not provide much relief from the heat. The temperature during this period feels three to four degrees Celsius higher due to moisture in the atmosphere.
He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 39.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 27.8 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 61 percent and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 36 percent. The direction of the winds was north-east with an average speed of 10.2 km per hour. According to the weather forecast, there are chances of light clouds in the next five days but there is no possibility of rain. The day temperature is expected to be 2-3 degrees Celsius above normal.
