For this, a smuggler who was going to deliver hashish has been arrested by the police with a large quantity of hashish. The accused has been produced in the court and sent to jail. The price of charas is said to be around eight lakh rupees.

In fact, the team of Haridwar Police and Narcotics Department is on checking day and night, engaged in arresting drug smugglers involved in drug smuggling. On Tuesday, a joint team of police and ANTF arrested a drug smuggler from Rawali Mahdood area during checking in Sidkul police station area. About four kilograms of hashish was recovered from him. The smuggler has been identified as Dimple Pal, son of Kadam Singh, resident of Mulki Nagar, near Government Johar Police Station, Sidkul District, Haridwar.

During interrogation, the accused told that he had entered into this black business due to the poor financial condition of the house and the greed for more profits. He had to sell this consignment of hashish at Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act and sent him to jail.
