This was the occasion of the arrival of Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jagannath’s Ayodhya. The special thing is that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself was present to receive him, who welcomed him not like a normal guest, but like an old and separated brother and laid a red carpet for him.
As soon as Pravind Jagannath landed at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport with his wife, CM Yogi welcomed him with a bouquet. This scene looked like a union of two Sanatanis, not like a formal meeting of politicians of two countries.
Visiting Ramlala and staring at Ramlala
From the airport, CM Yogi took the Prime Minister of Mauritius directly to the same grand Ram temple, which Hindus around the world have waited for centuries. A different glow and sentiment could be clearly seen in the eyes of Pravind Jagannath and his wife while visiting the child form of Lord Shri Ramlala, who was sitting in the sanctum sanctorum. He worshiped Ramlala with full reverence and law and also attended the Aarti.
The priests gave him sandalwood vaccine and honored him by wearing Ramnami Patka. CM Yogi also presented him a beautiful statue of Lord Rama as a memento.
Not just one Prime Minister, one Hanuman devotee
Pravind Jagannath said on this occasion that his country is Mauritius “Chhota Bharat” and Lord Hanuman has special grace on him. He told that Hanuman Chalisa is recited in almost every house of Mauritius. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath for the construction of the grand Ram temple and said that this temple has made Hindus around the world a new energy and pride.
During this visit, CM Yogi also informed the Prime Minister of Mauritius in detailed development works in Ayodhya, such as beautification of Saryu Ghat and other projects. The tour was not just a diplomatic journey, but it is a symbol of the deep cultural and spiritual relationship between India and Mauritius, whose roots are associated with Lord Rama and Sanatan Dharma.
