This painful incident is from Nawadih village of Radih police station area of the district. 60 -year -old Karma Oraon, who lives here, killed his 35 -year -old son Sukhdev Oraon with a Sabbal (an iron rod).
Alcohol addiction became the cause of death
According to the villagers and police, son Sukhdev Oraon was addicted to liquor. He used to come home almost every day after drinking alcohol and quarreled with his old father and for money. Something similar happened on Thursday night.
Sukhdev returned home after getting drunk. He asked his father Karma Oraon to drink and drink alcohol. When the father refused to pay the money, he started abusing and quarreling with him.
Angry father took a frightening step
The father’s patience broke the dam’s patience due to the son’s daily antics and the quarrel of that night. In anger, he picked up the Sabbal kept in the house and stabbed the son’s head strongly. Sukhdev died on the spot due to deep head injury.

After killing the son, Karma Oraon regretted his actions, but he decided to face the truth instead of running away. He first told some people in the village that he had killed his son. After this, he himself walked on foot and reached the Radih police station and surrendered to the police.
He told the police, “Sir, I have killed my son. He used to quarrel with alcohol every day, I was fed up.”
Police immediately reached the spot, took the body and sent it for postmortem. The accused father has been arrested and he is being questioned. This one incident has shocked the entire village and has raised the question of how intoxication ruins the whole family.
