New Delhi: The report of the two-phase survey of the mosque by the Advocate Commissioner appointed after the claim of Harihar Temple in Jama Masjid was presented in a sealed cover in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Aditya Singh on Thursday. Lawyers from both sides. On Wednesday, the arrangement committee of Jama Masjid requested to submit the survey report soon. The 45-page survey report also includes 1,200 photographs and three hours of video footage.

On November 19, Supreme Court lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain had claimed on behalf of eight people that Harihar Temple is located inside the Jama Masjid of Sambhal. The court ordered a survey the same day and appointed lawyer Ramesh Singh as Advocate Commissioner. On the evening of 19 November, people from both sides along with the Advocate Commissioner reached Jama Masjid and did photography and videography. After one and a half hour of survey, the survey was stopped when the crowd became uncontrollable and it became dark.

Then on November 21, when the Advocate Commissioner went to conduct the survey, the crowd protested. Four people died when violence broke out during the three-hour long survey. After this, the date of hearing in the court was fixed as 29th November. But due to his not being well, the Advocate Commissioner asked for an extension of ten days. Meanwhile, the Advocate Commissioner asked for fifteen days’ extension, saying that his health had deteriorated again. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court ordered that the lower court should not give any order in this case till January 6. Jama Masjid Committee was also asked to appeal in the High Court. The High Court was also asked to hear this case in three days. The date of hearing in the civil judge’s court was fixed for January 8. Meanwhile, according to sources, many evidences have been found in the survey of the existence of a temple in Jama Masjid. There is also evidence that a new structure has been built in place of the old structure of the mosque.
