News India Live, Digital Desk: Tejas mk-1A: The air security of our country, which the Indian Air Force handles, has always been our priority. But at this time the Air Force is going through a major change. MiG-21 fighter aircraft, which have been the backbone of our Air Force for many decades, are now being gradually removed from service. These aircraft may have served the country a lot, but now there is a dire need of new, modern aircraft in their place.
Amidst this big challenge, our new name is ‘Tejas MK-1A’. It is a light combat aircraft (LCA) built in India, which is being produced by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It is being seen as a strong option to replace MiG-21. But a big question here is how soon HAL is able to reach these new ‘Tejas’ aircraft to the Air Force?
Experts say that HAL still has a huge job and will have to ensure timely delivery. If there is any delay in the production and delivery of ‘Tejas MK-1A’, it can pose a threat to our aerial power. The Indian Air Force is already facing a decrease in the number of its fighter squadrons, and after the retirement of MiG-21, this decrease may increase further. To meet this deficiency, ‘Tejas’ is the fastest and reliable solution.
‘Tejas MK-1A’ will replace not only MiG-21, but it also has many modern techniques and advanced abilities, which enable it to face any enemy. This is also a great example of ‘Make in India’ initiative, which promotes the self -reliance of the country.
For our national security and regional stability, it is very important that the Air Force has sufficient number of modern fighter aircraft. In such a situation, HAL should be tightened by her back and expedite the delivery of ‘Tejas MK-1A’. The future of the country’s aerial strength depends on this.
