One such heart-wrenching and thought-provoking incident took place in Ramgarh, Jharkhand, where a minor altercation over a water motor took the form of a murder.
Story of a security guard and a tenant
The matter is of a lodge in Ramgarh. 52 year old Naresh Mahato used to work as a security guard here. He was a simple person, who used to support his family by doing his job. A person named Mukesh Yadav lived on rent in this lodge.
Root of trouble: a bad water motor
The water motor of the lodge was out of order for a few days, due to which all the people living there were facing water problems. Mukesh had an argument with Naresh Mahato regarding this matter. Mukesh said that Naresh is not getting the motor repaired, whereas Naresh said that he has informed the owner. This was a common debate which happens often in our homes or localities.
Addiction turns man into a beast
The matter might have ended, but in the evening Mukesh returned drunk. He again started fighting with Naresh Mahato sitting at the gate on the same issue. When drunk, a person’s power of thinking and understanding is lost, and the same happened with Mukesh.
The matter escalated so much that he picked up an ax kept nearby and attacked Naresh Mahato. The attack was so sudden and fatal that Naresh died on the spot.
One small thing and a ruined family
After the murder, Mukesh Yadav has been arrested by the police and he has also confessed to his crime. But the question is, does he really regret his actions? A broken motor, a little anger and alcohol intoxication… these three things together ruined a happy family forever. This incident is a lesson that when anger and intoxication come together, they turn a person into a beast.
