The green signal from the central government, will invest 800 crores, expect thousands of jobs

News India Live, Digital Desk: Noida: A new chapter is going to be added to the industrial development of Uttar Pradesh on the banks of the Yamuna Expressway. The central government has approved the plan to create a huge ‘electronics manufacturing cluster’ (EMC) near the Yamuna Expressway in Noida. This ambitious project will be realized on about 206 acres of land and aims to set up Uttar Pradesh as a large center of electronics production.

UP will become the hub of electronics manufacturing

Officials say the project is part of the Central Government’s EMC 2.0 scheme. Its direct objective is to promote the manufacture of electronics goods in the country and especially Uttar Pradesh. This cluster will be developed in Sector-10 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) area.

Modern facilities and infrastructure

This e-cluster will not only have factories, but a complete ecosystem will be prepared. Here ‘Flamed Factory Complex’ (where many small units can work in the same building), a manufacturing zone dedicated to big industries and all facilities like modern roads, electricity, water will be developed to support all these.

Thousands of jobs opportunities

This project will not only make UP a strong electronics hub, but will also create major employment opportunities. It is estimated that this cluster will provide direct employment to more than 11,000 people, while around 20,000 indirect employment opportunities will also be created.

Havels will become anchor investor, investment of 800 crores

In this ambitious project, the well-known company ‘Havels’ (Havells) will play the role of anchor investor. The company will be allotted 50 acres of land inside this cluster. The Havels is going to invest a huge investment of about Rs 800 crore in this project. It is expected that more than 1000 jobs will be produced in the first phase from the unit of Havels alone. The company will set up its manufacturing units to make domestic electrical goods such as fans, air conditioners, coolers, lighting products, switchgears and cables and aims to start production by 2026.

What did Yida’s CEO say?

YEIDA CEO Arunveer Singh told the media that after getting approval from the Center, further process will be expedited. Soon the work will be allocated to the hawels and finalizing the outline of the rest of the cluster. He reported that this entire cluster will be developed in a phased manner.

Investment of Center and Yida

According to the CEO, the central government has approved Rs 144 crore for the project. At the same time, Yida will spend more than Rs 340 crore on developing infrastructure like road, electricity and water supply network in this cluster.

How will 206 acres of land be distributed?

This entire electronics cluster will be spread over 206 acres.

• About 39 acres of land will be used for roads, parks and other general facilities (infrastructure).

• 50 acres of land will be given to Havls.

• 66 industrial plots will be developed on the remaining 106 acres of land.

• In addition, a flasted factory complex will also be built on 16 acres.

How long will the project be completed?

According to officials, the target has been set to complete the work of developing this e-cluster by 31 January 2028.
