New Delhi: The government has issued a serious security warning for millions of Android users across the country. This warning came after a serious safety bulletin issued by Google, exposing several weaknesses in various Android versions.
Alert released by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-in) states that these flaws may give hackers a chance to reach sensitive data and even arise a situation of attacks to reject service on devices.

CERT-in classified this new risk as “high-seriousness”. According to the bulletin, the major components of Android ecosystem include weaknesses, including framework, Android runtime, system, widewine DRM, project mainline components, kernels, kernels and ARM components.
Additional problems were identified in the components of imagination technologies, MediaTek, Qualcomm and Qualcomm’s Closed-SOS modules.
