News India Live, Digital Desk: The forests of Saranda in Jharkhand are not calm these days. There is a strange movement in the air here. This is the movement of the boots of 2000 soldiers, who have set out to tear the chest of this dense forest and end the fear which has gripped the people here for years. This is not an ordinary search operation, this is one of the biggest and decisive battles in the history of Jharkhand against Naxalism.

The scale of this operation is so big that it is reminiscent of the famous ‘Operation Anaconda’ years ago. At that time too, a similar big siege was conducted to free the forests of Saranda from Naxalites. Today once again the same history is being repeated, but this time the intentions are even stronger.

Made a hideout inside the forest

This time the strategy of the security forces is completely different. Now the soldiers are not just patrolling the outer areas, but they have also entered inside the areas considered to be the safest of Naxalites and have set up their camps. These 2000 soldiers of Jharkhand Police, Jaguar, Cobra Battalion and CRPF are now searching every nook and corner of the forest with one aim – to destroy the last fort of Naxalites.

‘Mastermind’ worth Rs 1 crore is on target

There is only one name at the center of this entire operation – Misir Besra. This Naxalite commander, carrying a reward of Rs 1 crore, is considered to be the brain of the organization in this area. Security forces believe that if Misir Besra is caught, the back of Naxalism in this area will be broken. The organization has already become weak after the killing of 21 Naxalites in Kanker and now this big operation has broken their remaining courage.

This battle is no longer being fought from outside, but from inside the Naxalites’ homes. The soldiers have laid such siege that all avenues of escape have been closed for them. This is not just a military operation, but a big effort to return peace to this area forever. And the way this operation is progressing, it looks like a new dawn is soon going to dawn in the forests of Saranda.
