Here, a one -year -old innocent girl died in the lap of a helpless father trapped in the flood waters, because due to the flooded paths, he could not reach the hospital 12 km away.

What is this heartbreaking incident?

The case is of Itahia village of Nautanwa tehsil of Maharajganj. Ram Milan’s one -year -old daughter Kajal, who lives here, suddenly deteriorated late on Monday night. He climbed high fever and started breathing. The people of the house got nervous and immediately started preparing to take him to the nearest health center, which was about 12 km from there.

When 12 km journey became impossible

But the fate of the family was something else. The entire Ithia village was surrounded by flood water from all sides due to the boom of Rohin River and other rainy drains. The village was completely an island and all the ways of exit were submerged in the water. As if the distance of 12 kilometers had changed to 1200 kilometers, which seemed impossible to cross.

Panic Ram Milan and family members started hitting hands and feet to arrange the boat. A request was made for help. Every passing moment was making the condition of innocent Kajal more critical and the family’s expectations were breaking.

And then, what was not to happen is done

But time and flood water does not wait for anyone. Before any help could reach or the boat could be arranged, innocent Kajal died in the lap of his helpless father. A laughing family was destroyed forever in this tragedy of floods.

This painful story is not just from Itahia village. Due to the rage form of Rohin River, dozens of villages in this area are in flood. Thousands of people are imprisoned in their homes and are struggling for basic facilities. Kajal’s death has once again exposed the disgrace of this flood and the helplessness of not reaching the help in time.
