Rana has two other brothers, one of whom is a psychiatrist in the Pakistani Army. The second brother is a journalist. Tehwavur Rana studied at Cadet College, Hasnabad. Where he met David Coleman Hatli (Dawood Syed Gilani). It was the same Gilani who attacked 26/11. He is currently in US jail.
Rana went to Canada in 1997. His wife Samraj Rana Akhtar was also present. She was running a hospital. (She was a doctor) but the hospital was not running properly. Rana started an immigration counseling service in Toronto and started the Halal meat business after not getting full compensation.
In fact, his counseling service had become the base of terrorist activities. Headley was working as an advisor. Rana himself was a doctor. Even after leaving the military service, he continued to visit terrorist camps throughout the uniform. He was in constant touch with Pakistan’s military spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Rana was also related to Sajid Mir, who is a declared global terrorist and the most desired terrorist in India. This Mir was the main criminal of 26/11 attacks. He laid siege to Chabad House where Jews lived. And 6 people were killed in firing.
The NIA has also come to know that Rana was also in contact with Major Iqbal. Major Iqbal was accused by an American court in 2010 of being a Pakistani spy David Headley. He was also a detective.
In 2011, David Headley admitted that he was also known as Major Iqbal. He was recruiting and training youth to spread terrorism.
