Star Health, Niva Bupa and Tata AIG have discontinued cashless services in Max hospitals across the country, while Care’s ban on cashless claim services applies to Max Hospitals in Delhi and NCR. According to a Max Hospital spokesperson, “On February 10, 2025, Max Healthcare Limited informed Care Health that cashless services would not be available in all hospitals in Delhi and NCR. The decision will be effective from 17 February, 2025.”

Tata AIG suspended cashless services at Max Hospitals on 10 September 2025. Max said that the insurer had suddenly demanded a reduction in tariffs.

According to sources close to Tata AIG, the issue is being discussed and it is expected to solve it in a few days.
