Today, an important review meeting of Uttar Pradesh Rural Road Development Agency was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya at the government residence in Lucknow.

In the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed deep concern about the quality, timely construction and maintenance of rural roads of the state and gave clear instructions to the officials that rejuvenation of rural roads is one of the top priorities of the state government.

Hundred percent utilization of the budget provided by the Central and State Government should be ensured and negligence will not be tolerated at any level.

Organize programs like foundation stone laying and inauguration to quickly implement the new schemes approved in all the districts.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed that strict legal action should be taken against those contractors who are compromising the quality of the work or causing unnecessary delay in the work. Besides, action should also be taken to ban such contractors from future tenders.

He laid special emphasis on the use of carbon dating technology to further strengthen the scientific investigation of road quality. The Deputy Chief Minister said that through this modern technology, it will be possible to assess the actual age and quality of the materials and work used in road construction, thereby ensuring transparency and accountability.

The Deputy Chief Minister also directed the officials to regularly monitor all the projects, increase field inspections and achieve the target of providing safe, durable and quality roads to the rural people in a time bound manner.

At the end of the meeting, he reiterated that the intention of the double engine government is to give new impetus to development through better connectivity in rural areas and for this all the concerned officers should work with full dedication and commitment.

In this meeting, Maniraj Minister for Rural Development Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Gautam ji, Principal Secretary Rural Development Mr. Saurav Babu ji, Rural Development Commissioner Mr. Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ankur Kaushik ji and other senior officers were present.
