South Eastern Railway has a gift of ₹ 7600 crore!

South Eastern Railway has got the green signal for 12 new railway line projects worth ₹ 7600 crore to increase its capacity and speed. The train travel will not only be fast and comfortable with these projects, but the freight will also be easier than before.

What is this new plan?
The railway department aims to double the more and more single lines or where there are two lines, the third or fourth line should also be added. This is being done so that the crowd on the tracks can be reduced. It often happens that due to the same track, many trains are late, they have to stop somewhere. When the lines increase, more trains will be able to run at the same time and they will not have to stop anywhere.

Which routes will benefit?
These 12 projects include important routes of Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha, such as:

• Howrah-Kharagpur third line: This will speed up the movement of trains on this busy route.

• Tatanagar-Rauurkela third line: This is an important project for Jamshedpur, which will improve traffic in this industrial corridor.

• Khurda Road-bypass line: It will give passengers a more convenient way.

• Angry-bombing dabbling: This is very important for transportation of goods especially from Paradip port.

• Apart from this, there are many more projects like Jhaoli-Rajgangpur fourth line, Sambalpur-Talchar Road (Angul) double line.

South Eastern Railway General Manager RK Singh said that the direct benefit of these projects will be:

• Low delay: The problem of late trains will be reduced greatly.

• Better freight transportation: Transporting coal, iron ore and other industrial materials will be easy, which will also boost the economy.

• More comfortable journey: Passengers will take less time to reach their destination.
