Something similar happened in Mahipalpur area of Delhi on Thursday morning. A loud ‘bang’ sound near the famous Radisson Blu Hotel here shocked the people. An atmosphere of chaos and fear was created everywhere.
Without any delay someone immediately called the police control room. Seeing the seriousness of the news, several vehicles of Delhi Police and Fire Department immediately left for the spot with sirens blaring.
One phone call and city alert
A person told the police on the phone that he had heard a big explosion near the hotel. This single information put the security agencies of entire Delhi on alert. Police teams reached the spot and immediately surrounded the entire area and started searching every nook and corner. But even after investigating for a long time, they did not find any sign of any kind of explosion, smoke or debris, which made the matter a bit complicated.
Then what was that loud sound?
When the police did not find anything, they started interrogating the people nearby. Then a security guard revealed this whole secret. He told that what people thought was an explosion was actually the sound of a tire burst of a DTC bus passing nearby. The rear tire of the bus going towards Dhaula Kuan burst with so much force that its sound went far and people mistakenly considered it an explosion.
After investigation, the police confirmed this and said that there is no need to panic, everything is fine. After this truth came to light, the people of the area and the police administration all heaved a sigh of relief.
