Meerut: Police have busted a big sex racket in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday night. The police team under the leadership of ASP Navina Shukla raided this unethical business going on inside a house in Devipuri area of Railway Road police station area. The shocking thing is that the accused had completely prepared his house like a hotel, where not only girls from outside were invited, but women from the operator’s family were also involved in this business.
Raid at 10 pm after two days of recce
For a long time, the police was receiving information about suspicious activities in the house of Irshad alias Pintu Pathan located in Bhatipura Devipuri. ASP Navina Shukla said that to gather accurate information, the police in plain uniform conducted recce outside the house for two days. When it was confirmed that prostitution was taking place inside the house, the police team suddenly raided at 10 pm on Monday night.
Operator and son abscond, wife and customer caught
As soon as the police raid took place, there was a commotion in the house. The main accused Pintu Pathan, his two sons Rizwan and Rihan along with some customers managed to escape through the back route. However, the police arrested Pintu’s wife Shagufta, Majid, a customer resident of Ghantaghar and another youth Tahir from the spot. Tahir had come there to drop his real sister there for this business. Apart from this, 6 other women have also been detained from different rooms.
Girls were called from Delhi-Dehradun, rate was ₹ 5000
During interrogation, Shagufta has made many sensational revelations:
Hotel like setup: The rooms of the house were decorated like a hotel room for the customers.
Rate Fix: Customers were charged ₹ 5000 for staying the whole night, whereas the rate for 1-2 hours was fixed at ₹ 2000.
Interstate Link: Girls were also called from cities like Delhi and Dehradun for this business.
Family Involvement: Pintu Pathan was doing this black business for the last one year and the women of his house were also actively involved in it.
Women used to leave home saying ‘hospital duty’
Another surprising thing has come to light in the police investigation. Some of the women caught had lied to their families that they were going on ‘night duty’ in a hospital. When police contacted her family, they confirmed that they were told that the woman had gone to work at the hospital.
ASP said that the mobile phones of all the accused have been confiscated and their contact sources are being searched. Raids are being conducted to arrest absconding Pintu Pathan and his sons.
