News India Live, Digital Desk: Setback to Adikalash Yatra: Monsoon havoc continues in Uttarakhand, due to which heavy rains and landslides have increased on the mountains. In view of this situation, the Pithoragarh administration has taken an important decision, which has increased the concern of the devotees going on the journey of Adikailash and Om mountains. The process of issuing inner line permits (ILP) for Adikalash has been stopped at the moment in view of disaster. But this step has to be taken due to security of the marginal region and bad weather. Due to heavy rains and hill cracking, the journey route of Adikailash, especially between Bundi and Gunji, has become extremely risky. Incidents of falling stones and debris are coming out from the hill, which is not safe to travel. The administration has imposed this temporary restriction, giving the security of the passengers’ life and property. Hundreds of pilgrims are disturbed by this step of administration. There are a large number of devotees who had already booked for this journey and have reached Pithoragarh and Dharchula from every corner of the country. Now that the permit has been stopped, their journey has been questioned. These include passengers who had set their journey for the days 20 June and after that. They are neither being allowed to move forward nor is there any clear solution at the moment. This uncertainty has become the cause of their disappointment. It is being expected that the process of issuing permit will be resumed only after the weather is normal and the journey route is secured. Till then, the administration has appealed to all the pilgrims to be patient and prioritize their safety.
