A huge and dreadful conspiracy to terrorize the capital Lucknow and spread the network of terror in Uttar Pradesh has been exposed. Dr. Shaheen, the main mastermind of Delhi’s Red Fort blast case, and his associate Muzammil had prepared the complete plan for carrying out serial blasts here by making Lucknow their secret hideout. During strict interrogation by the investigating agencies, it has been sensationally revealed that both the terrorists had stayed in the house of Dr. Parvez located on Khandari Bazaar (Lalbagh) and IIM Road in Lucknow between 25th to 30th August last year. During this time, they were searching for a safe and suitable place to make explosives in the underdeveloped colonies of the city.
Congested areas including UP Assembly and Secretariat were the target.
The most shocking thing that has come to light in the investigation by the agencies is that the VVIP and crowded areas were the targets of these terrorists. Dr. Shaheen and Muzammil, along with their main assistant Dr. Parvez and other local operatives in Lucknow, had conducted a thorough recce of the most sensitive and historical sites of the city. The targets of terrorists were very busy and crowded areas of Uttar Pradesh like Vidhan Bhavan (Assembly), Bapu Bhawan (Secretariat), historical Bada Imambara, Lalbagh and Aminabad. It was only after completing the recce at these places that the final conspiracy for serial blasts was hatched.
Shops were being searched for making deadly explosive ‘TATP’
After the Delhi blasts (10/11), when the security agencies caught Dr. Shaheen, during the interrogation, secrets related to Uttar Pradesh started getting revealed. Shaheen’s real brother Dr. Parvez was the main mastermind of this entire terrorist network in Lucknow, who was preparing a sleeper cell and an army of helpers here. With the help of his close associates, Parvez had also started searching for the necessary materials and shops to make the extremely deadly and sensitive chemical explosive ‘Triacetone Tri Peroxide’ (TATP). As soon as these links were connected, intelligence agencies conducted rapid raids at Khandari Bazaar and IIM Road in Lucknow.
Wires are connected to Al Qaeda’s module ‘Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind’
In the investigation by security and intelligence agencies, it has become clear that Dr. Shaheen and his brother Dr. Parvez are directly linked to the dangerous terrorist module ‘Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind’ of the global terrorist organization Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). As soon as this input was received, the agencies launched an intensive search operation at several suspicious locations including Integral University (where Dr. Parvez was posted as Assistant Professor) and Era Hospital. During this period, many very objectionable and important documents were seized from Parvez’s cabin and cupboard in the university. Apart from this, mobile phones, electronic gadgets and a car were also recovered from his house. Shaheen’s father Shahid Saeed Ansari has also been interrogated for hours.
This web of terrorists has spread from Western UP to Kanpur-Unnao.
The investigation by UP ATS and central agencies has also confirmed that this dangerous network of terrorists is not limited to Delhi or Lucknow only. The roots of this module are deeply spread in many other districts of Uttar Pradesh. The network of this gang is active in many sensitive districts from Kanpur, Fatehpur, Bindki, Jehanabad to Kanpur Dehat, Unnao and western Uttar Pradesh. Taking all these inputs and these links very seriously, ATS has expanded the scope of its investigation, due to which some more big and shocking revelations are expected in the coming days.
