Post

Public holiday declared: All government departments, schools and colleges will remain closed on October 7, 2025 in Uttar Pradesh. This holiday has been declared on the demand of Valmiki society and on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. However, this holiday will not apply to banks and financial institutions, so that financial activities will continue to run unchanged.

Will the banks be closed? The government has clarified that this holiday does not come under the Nign Instruments Act of 1881, so the banks will be open. Valmiki Jayanti remembers the life and literary contribution of Maharishi Valmiki, who is also credited to the author of Ramayana. On this day, special programs and worship are done to promote social harmony and spirituality.

There has been a significant improvement in law and order in Uttar Pradesh. The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), in its 2023 report, has said that there will be zero communal riots in Uttar Pradesh. Due to the zero tolerance policy of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the crime rate in the state is 25% less than the national average. Crimes like riots, kidnapping and robbery have also declined, due to which Uttar Pradesh has become an example at the national level in terms of law and order.

The administration has successfully maintained law and order by implementing additional security measures in sensitive areas. Partitions like flag march and drone monitoring have improved peace and order in the state. The strict action of the Yogi government is creating a favorable environment for investment and business in the state.
