The United Nations has released an explosive report on the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, saying Russian forces are torturing and raping women in Ukraine.
There is a stir all over the world regarding the UN report. Even after two years of war with Ukraine, Russia continues to occupy five areas of Ukraine.
The United Nations has said in its report that Russia is seriously violating human rights and committing war crimes in the areas of Ukraine under its control. Which includes incidents ranging from torturing people to raping women.
The report also expressed concern over the Russian military's continued use of explosive weapons in civilian areas. The report also mentions that civilians are being harmed by the Russian army.
UN official Eric Moses told the media that international human rights are being violated by the Russian military and it needs further investigation. Before preparing this report, we visited Ukraine 16 times and talked to hundreds of people.
He further said that Russia has treated the captured people like prisoners of war. Women have been raped, but male prisoners have also been threatened with rape. Ukrainian children were also transferred to Russia from Russian-controlled areas. Antiquities and documents related to Ukrainian culture were also looted in Kharson city of Ukraine. In November 2022, old documents from the archives of Kharson were sent to Crimea. 10000 artefacts are also missing from the museum.
