Rupee rose 38 paise to closes at the highest level of 2025 at 84.58


In the last 11 seasons of April, the Indian stock market continued to be a significant strength in the Indian stock market today and it increased by 38 paise to close at 84.58 against the US dollar. The rupee’s closing level and the Intrade High 84.47 is the highest closing level of 2025 and the highest intraday high. With this, on a monthly basis in April, there has been an increase of 89 paise or 1.04 percent. Earlier in March, there was an increase of 2 percent in the rupee. Thus, the trend of increase in the rupee for the second consecutive month has been seen. The rupee also strengthened after the strength in other Asian currencies, although the rupee increased by only 0.5 percent against the increase in Asian currencies by 0.8 percent. It is noteworthy that the rupee closed at 85.65 at the end of December 2024, compared to which the rupee increased by 107 paise i.e. 1.24 percent in the end of April.

After the closure of 27 paise on Tuesday at 84.96, the rupee opened by 19 paise to 85.15, which was the minimum day level in the Interbank Forex exchange market. It then reached a high of 84.47 during trading and finally closed at 84.58 with a gain of 38 paise. Meanwhile, the dollar index measuring the dollar strength against six major currencies rose 0.2 percent to 99.39 today, while Brent crude fell 0.73 percent to $ 62.82 per barrel.
