The incident took place at the house of RPF jawan Suraj Kumar Singh, who was on duty at that time. According to the information, on Saturday morning the jawan’s wife Shweta Singh had gone nearby to drop her children to school. The house was locked. Taking advantage of this short period, the thieves broke the locks of the main gate and the inner rooms of the house and entered the house.

They broke the cupboard and took away 1.70 lakh cash and all the jewellery.

When the soldier’s wife returned, she was shocked to see the lock of the house broken and all the belongings scattered. He immediately went inside and saw that the cupboard locker was also broken and all the valuables kept in it were missing.

The thieves had stolen Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand cash kept in the cupboard and almost all the gold and silver jewelery received during marriages. The total value of the stolen goods is said to be around Rs 18 lakh. Shweta Singh told that the thieves did not leave anything in the cupboard.

Police started investigation, panic in the area

As soon as information about the incident was received, the police of Ratu police station immediately reached the spot. Police inspected the spot and started questioning the people nearby. Police are also scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area to find any clue about the thieves.
