
ED (Enforcement Directorate) to Robert Vadra in Shikohabad land scam case of Haryana : For the second time, he has been summoned. He was summoned earlier on 8 April, but did not appear before the ED. Vadra has been asked to appear before the ED again today. The ED has called him for questioning on suspicion of money laundering. Robert Vadra is alleged to have been given 3.53 acres of land at a cost of Rs 7.50 crore in Gurugram in the name of developing the colony to his company Skylight Private Limited, which he later sold.
What was the whole matter?
This case is of 2008. At that time Bhupendra Hooda was the Chief Minister of Haryana. The Haryana government gave a license to Vadra’s company to develop 2.70 acres of this land as a commercial colony. However, instead of developing the colony, his company sold this land to DLF Universal Limited for Rs 58 crore in 2012.
What is the charge on Robert Vadra?
Robert Vadra is accused of earning crores of rupees by selling DLF Universal Limited to DLF Universal Limited at a low price for his company Skylight Hospitality Private Limited. His company sold this land to DLF Universal Limited on 18 September 2012 through a sales deal. However, the Haryana government did not give final approval to transfer the Town and Country Planning License.
