Why are you spreading such things? Why are you misleading those who have nothing to do with this bill?
Shocking decisions were taken regarding Waqf
On why there was a need to bring this bill, he said that he had gone to the election in 2014. Before that, some steps were taken in 2013, making it clear why such steps were taken. In 2013, any person in the country can make Waqf. Religious trust of Muslims is being prepared for Allah. This condition has been laid that only Sunni people will remain in Shia and Sunni board. Third, Section 108 states that there is a provision of Waqf Board which will be above the current law. Such a law has been enacted. So I want to ask you how you can be above the law.
The Parliament claimed that it is a Waqf property.
Kiran Rijiju said about a case that after 2013, a case was going on in Delhi since 1970 that there is a CJO complex, a Parliament House, there are many properties, which Delhi Waqf Board claims that they are Waqf properties. At the time when this matter was going on, the UPA government had denotified all the land and gave it to the Waqf Board. If this amendment bill had not been brought today, then the Parliament in which we are sitting, would have been claimed to have the property of the Waqf Board.
Waqf Amendment Bill is not against any religion
There was an uproar in the Lok Sabha over the Waqf Bill. In this regard, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju said that the Waqf Amendment Bill is not anti -religion. The government is not interfering. He also said that this bill is not interfering in any religious system. This bill has no relation with the management of religious places. The Waqf Board will remain under the law.
