Research and Development (R&D) Sale of PPN PG College Kanpur (R&D) Sale on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 organized a one -day workshop on “Scopus and Web of Science (WOS) publication” for research students. This initiative was taken with the objective of increasing research capacity as per international research standards. The program was launched by Prof. Anup Kumar Singh (Principal) was a formal greeting, in which Dr. Kashif Imdad (Director, R&D) took over the responsibility of combination and operation.

A total of 41 research students and 9 faculty members attended the workshop. In the sessions, a detailed introduction of the history, coverage and search techniques of Scopus and WOS was given. Impact Factor and CITESCORE MT Count, Quartile (Q1 -Q4) classification, and Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Wiley shared the key features of key publishers. In the practical session, researchers learned direct techniques of journalist listing, matrix probe and article downloading.
