Red alert in Jharkhand, security forces ready for Naxal resistance week

News India Live, Digital Desk: Naxalite alarm bells have rung once again in Jharkhand. Banned Naxalite organization CPI (Maoist) 8th October to 14th October till ‘Resistance Day Week’ and during this time 10 October To ‘Close’ Has announced. After this announcement, security arrangements have been put on high alert in the entire state, especially in Naxal affected areas.

Why are Naxalites celebrating this week?

Actually, Naxalites are celebrating this ‘Resistance Week’ in protest against the killing of some of their top commanders. Recently, many big leaders of Maoists like Misir Besra, Vivek, Anal Da and Aseem Mandal were killed in the encounter with security forces. Naxalites organize such a week or bandh every year to avenge the death of their own comrades and to put pressure on the security forces.

What is the preparation of the security forces?

Jharkhand Police and CRPF have geared up to foil any possible conspiracy of Naxalites.

• High alert issued: Police captains of all Naxal affected districts of the state have been instructed to exercise special vigilance.
• Intensive search operation: Continuous search operations are being conducted in forests and remote areas so that Naxalites are not able to gather anywhere.
• Security enhanced: Security has been increased at sensitive places like railway tracks, bridges, government offices and police posts. Additional soldiers from the police headquarters have also been sent to these areas.

What happens during this ‘off’ and ‘week’?

During this period, Naxalites try to paralyze normal life. They often target roads, damage government property or ambush security forces. This is why the Police Headquarters has also appealed to the common people to be cautious during these days and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.

While on one hand the announcement of this resistance week and bandh has increased the concern of the administration, on the other hand the security forces are also fully prepared so that any plan of the Naxalites is not allowed to succeed.
