Rajasthan tops the entire country with auction of 87 major mineral blocks – T. Ravikant

Jaipur, 13 December (Hindustan Reporter). Principal Secretary of Mines and Petroleum Department, T. Ravikant has given instructions to make necessary preparations for e-auction of more than 100 major mineral blocks for the coming year. He said that so far in this financial year, e-auction of 33 major mineral blocks has been done and by auctioning 87 major mineral blocks till now, Rajasthan has come first in the entire country.

T. Ravikant said in the meeting of senior officials of the Mineral Department in Udaipur on Friday that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has laid emphasis on expediting the mineral exploration work in the state and preparing more and more major mineral blocks and e-auction. He said that a roadmap will have to be made for all the necessary preparations from delineation to major and minor mineral blocks and plots.

Reviewing the auction progress of minor mineral blocks, T. Ravikant said that in this financial year, e-auction of 429 minor mineral plots and quarry license plots covering an area of ​​more than 890 hectares has been done, due to which the state government has received 40% of the auction premium amount. In percentage terms, revenue of more than Rs 182 crore has been received. The auction process of minor mineral blocks is going on and a new record for e-auction of minor mineral blocks will also be set in this financial year.

T. Ravikant told the officials that we should not be limited to this but should take the mining sector to greater heights. Officers will have to be more active in the field so that revenue leakage can be prevented by effectively stopping illegal mining, transportation and storage activities. He asked to ensure 100 per cent realization of revenue targets and encourage innovations. He received detailed information from the preparation of mineral blocks to the auction process.

Additional Director Mahavir Prasad Meena gave detailed information about the departmental progress. SME Major Satish Arya and SME Minor Kamleshwar Baregama gave block and plot preparation, delineation and other information of major and minor minerals.

Additional Director Geology and Chief Executive RSMET NP Singh, SG Rajkumar Meena, OSD Shri Krishna Sharma, SG Sunil Kumar Verma and senior officers of the department were present in the meeting.
