Teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are constantly engaged in relief and rescue operations. The army and local police are also helping.

Stuck people: There are hundreds of people who are unable to reach safe places, roads are broken and bridges are swept away. Some tourists are also stranded at different places, which are being tried to establish contacts.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has appealed to the people to take precautions and avoid going to floods or landslides areas. He has expressed deep condolences to the disaster victims and assured the government of all possible help. The government is emphasizing on expediting relief and rehabilitation works.
