Why did Amazon take this decision?
Amazon has not given any direct reason for this change, but it is believed that the company wants to increase its subscriber base. After 1 October 2025, if you want to continue to take advantage of the services of Amazon Prime, then you have to buy your own membership. The Amazon Prime Membership plans in India are as follows:
- Monthly Plan: Rs 299 per month
- Three months plan: 599 rupees
- Annual Plan: 1,499 rupees
- Annual Light Plan: 799 rupees (some benefits are found in it)
