
Sonipat, May 29 (HS). The condition of power cuts is so bad that people of Kalawati Vihar in Bandepur, Shanti Vihar in Kabirpur and Patel Nagar, troubled by the absence of electricity for 24 hours, protested on Wednesday afternoon.
Due to no electricity in three colonies for 24 hours, people reached the SE office of Electricity Corporation in Kabirpur and protested. Along with this, villagers from Bhadana village of Kharkhoda also raised slogans alleging that there is no electricity in the fields for 20 days. People say that despite repeated complaints, the problem is not being resolved.
While life has become chaotic in the midst of extreme heat, power cuts have further increased the problems of the people. People are facing great difficulties due to power outage in Kalawati Vihar of Bandepur, Shanti Vihar in Kabirpur and Patel Nagar of the city for 24 hours. While the heat has made the situation worse due to power outage, the drinking water crisis is also worsening.
Prince Saroha, Manjeet Malik, Ankit, Narendra Sharma, Anand, Manjesh Kumar, Sumit Ahlawat, Dinesh Chauhan, Rameshwar, Vinod, Himanshu and others who reached the SE office said that there is no electricity in the colony for 24 hours. But no one listens. On which the SE called XEN Ranbir Deshwal and SDO Jitendra on the spot and ordered to change the wire immediately. Only after this the colony residents calmed down and returned.
Villagers Narendra, Dilbagh, Devendra and others who arrived from village Bhadana said that there is power shortage in the village. Due to lack of electricity for 20 days in this scorching heat, the orchards, sugarcane and vegetable crops planted in the village have started drying up. The Kharkhauda SDO was informed about this on 13th May but no hearing was held. He met again on 20th May and demanded restoration of power supply but no response was given. The villagers have demanded that the power supply to the fields be restored soon so that the drying orchards and crops can be saved.
