What was found in the investigation?
The investigation conducted by the police has revealed that all the weapons with which Raja Bhaiya was worshiped on the day of Dussehra were licensed. According to the report, none of the weapons used in the puja were found to be illegal. This report has been sent by the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Pratapgarh to higher officials. After the arrival of this investigation report, it is believed that Raja Bhaiya can get a big relief in this matter.
What was the whole matter?
Like every year, this year too on the occasion of Dussehra, Raja Bhaiya had organized Shastra Puja in his mansion ‘Benti’. Pictures of this puja went viral on social media, in which he was seen performing the puja with an arsenal of state-of-the-art rifles and other weapons.
As soon as these pictures went viral, a political controversy arose. Many opposition parties, including the Samajwadi Party, had raised questions on the government, calling it a show of strength and a violation of the law. SP leader Shivpal Yadav had sarcastically asked, “Are common people also allowed to possess so many weapons?” After increasing controversy and pressure, the police took cognizance of this matter and started investigation to find out whether the weapons shown in the pictures are licensed or illegal.
Do weapon worship every year
Raja Bhaiya’s family has been following the tradition of worshiping weapons on the day of Dussehra for decades. It is a traditional and family event for him, in which his supporters also participate. However, this time the matter had escalated due to the modern weapons seen in the pictures.
Now that the police has declared the weapons licensed in its investigation, the political turmoil over this issue is also expected to calm down.
